The Shayetet 13 Forest Park – Commemorating the Fallen Shayetet 13 Soldiers
The Project:
The Atelef Foundation, in collaboration with the Jewish National Fund, are currently working together on creating the Shayetet 13 Forest Lookout Point, located in Hof HaCarmel that looks out west to the ocean.
Names of the fallen will be commemorated on a stone monument, a walking path will lead to a breathtaking lookout point with seating areas and a children’s playground.
Who is the park for?
The park will serve: the families of the fallen,
The current soldiers and reserves serving the unit, the general public and visitors.
The park will be easily accessible and open to the general public. During holidays and school breaks, the park will host Scout camps that will have the honor of hearing the stories of our fallen loved ones.

The “Shayetet Forest” program is 100% funded by the Atelef Foundation’s budget. The project is estimated at about 450,000 NIS. The Atalef Foundation is working on raising the needed funds both in Israel and abroad. An initial amount has already been raised.
